A total of 350 shooters join 7th Kuwait Shooting GPrix

Participants of 7th HH the Amir Kuwait Shooting Grand Prix

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 13: The Seventh HH the Amir of Kuwait Shooting Grand Prix kicked off Saturday evening with the 10-meter air rifle competition at Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Olympic Shooting Complex. A total of 350 shooters from 39 Arab and foreign countries participated in the competition.

On Friday, the Arab Shooting Federation held a meeting with Chairperson of Kuwaiti and Arab Shooting Federations Eng Dueij Khalaf Al-Otaibi and all members in attendance. The agenda included endorsement of the administrative and financial report for last year, in addition to new developments concerning the championship.

Chairperson of Asian Shooting Federation Sheikh Ali bin Abdullah Hamad Al Khalifa applauded Kuwait’s support for the federation and its fruitful cooperation in the progress of the sport at the continental level.

Sheikh Abdullah also extended appreciation and gratitude to HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and HH the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for their continuous support for the sports and for hosting the federation’s headquarters in Kuwait.

Meanwhile, the umpire training course ended last week with 37 umpires for the shotgun and pistol competitions receiving their certificates. Kuwait Shooting Federation organized the course which was officially opened by Secretary General of the Kuwaiti and Arab Shooting Federations Obeid Al-Oseimi
