KUWAIT CITY, Dec 20: Highranking Interior Ministry officials have rubbished what has been published in the social media that a state of emergency has been declared at Kuwait’s borders to ward off any possible attack by the Shiites, reports Al-Anba daily.A statement issued by the ministry said these are just rumors. The source added, the borders are monitored round the clock to prevent the smuggling of drugs and narcotics across the border into Kuwait but the reports of attacks are baseless.The ministry has issued a strongly-worded warning to those who foment chaos which may have an adverse effect on the peace, tranquility and security of the country. Those found guilty will be severely punished.
