KUWAIT CITY, Feb 7: Kuwait Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) referred an official of the Amiri Diwan and some others to the Public Prosecution on charges of facilitating the seizure of public funds, says Al-Qabas daily. In a statement issued yesterday, the Nazaha stated that, “The crime committed by the aforementioned official and others is implicated in the text of Article 10 of Law No. 1/1993 regarding the protection of public funds. “It will not hesitate to prosecute the perpetrators of corruption. It continues to receive serious reports about corruption incidents of any kind. All reports are subjected to investigation and vetting”.

The authority expressed appreciation towards the role played by the whistle-blowers in “helping to access the necessary information about corruption while providing utmost protection and confidentiality necessary in accordance to the law and executive regulations
