Many Arabs, Africans, Asians arrested near slaughterhouses

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 3: Director- General of the Ahmadi Security Directorate, Major- General Saleh Matar has sent a memorandum to the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Lieutenant- General Issam Al-Naham to give nod for the deportation of 9 women who were caught begging for alms, reports Al-Anba daily.

The daily added, the nine people were arrested during an expanded campaign in the Ahmadi Governorate, particularly in the vicinity of slaughterhouses in the area.

A security source said the campaign was launched when the concerned authorities saw an increase in the begging activity near the markets and slaughterhouses. Those caught were Arabs, Africans and Asians. The source said the sponsors of the women will be summoned for interrogation and measures will be taken against them.
