Three Syrians arrested for impersonating police and robbing Expats

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 2: Three Syrian expatriates were arrested for impersonating police, robbing expatriates residing in Farwaniya and Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area and burglary in Andalous area.

In a press statement issued by Ministry of Interior, the Public Relations and Security Media Department explained that a Kuwaiti citizen had reported that his house in Andalous area was burgled and the suspects stole jewelry worth KD 6,000, more than KD 1,000 cash and several personal documents.

Investigations carried out by a team of detectives, with the help of sources, led to the discovered of a gang of three Syrians who burgled the house. After taking necessary measures, the suspects’ houses were raided and they were arrested.

They have been identified as Mohammad Mahmoud Al-Ali born in 1996, Samir Said Al-Jassem born in 1997 and Mohammad Rakan Awad Ahmad born in 1997. During interrogation, they confessed to the burglary and revealed that they impersonated police and robbed expatriates in Farwaniya and Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh areas.
