KUWAIT CITY, April 16: Police are looking for three masked men for assaulting a Kuwaiti military man and stealing from him two cell phones and a portable Wi-firouter, reports Al-Anba daily. The victim has filed a complaint with the police and submitted a medical report showing bruised left eye and injury to the foot.
Drug overdose kills 1: A 31-yearold Kuwaiti citizen died after falling unconscious while he was with a friend inside a diwaniya in Mishref area, reports Al-Seyassah daily. According to security sources, when the victim fell unconscious, his friend tried to help him and he then took him to Mubarak Hospital but he had died. When the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information from Mubarak Hospital about a deceased citizen and another citizen who is not in a normal state of mind at the hospital, securitymen rushed to the location. They seized the victim’s friend and checked his details to discover he is involved in a case which is still being investigated, and he is wanted by law for enforcement of a judicial verdict that sentenced him to two-month imprisonment. When they questioned him, he said they were sitting inside the diwaniya when his friend fell unconscious. The sources indicated about the possibility that the cause of the victim’s death is drug overdose.
Teacher ‘defamed’: An Egyptian teacher working for a school in Jahra has filed a complaint with the e-Crimes Department of the Ministry of Interior, accusing an unidentified person of defaming him and two other colleagues, reports Al-Anba daily. The suspect reportedly published the picture of the teacher and his colleagues and accused them of sodomy. A top-level source at the Cybercrimes Department at the Criminal Investigations Department carried out intensive investigations and came to the conclusion there was no such information.
