Three brothers perish in accident

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 8: Three brothers died and two other persons were injured when they figured in an accident along Salmi Motorway which is connected to the Sixth Ring Road. The remains of the brothers were referred to Forensics, while the injured were admitted to Jahra Hospital.

Meanwhile, five expatriates were injured when their vehicles collided on Abdalli Motorway. Securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location after the Operations Unit at the Interior Ministry received information about the accident.

The injured were airlifted to Jahra Hospital. In addition, three Kuwaitis sustained serious injuries and are now confined at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Farwaniya Hospital after their vehicle collided with each other and overturned on the Sixth Ring Road.

Fire in basement: Firefighters from the Farwaniya and Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh fire stations rushed to the basement of a building in Farwaniya and put out the fire before it spread to the entire place, reports Al-Anba daily. A fire source said the basement was used as a carpentry shop. Investigations are underway to identify the cause of fire. No injuries have been reported.
