Three armed robbers held for attempting to rob armored vehicle

KUWAIT CITY, July 16: Three Bedoun men have been arrested for attempting to rob money from an armored vehicle driven by an Egyptian expatriate in Shuwaikh Industrial Area few days ago, and for shooting the driver in his thigh. According to security sources, the suspects had stopped an armored vehicle at night in Shuwaikh Industrial Area five days ago.

They threatened the driver using a knife and a pistol and demanded him to open the safe inside the vehicle. When this failed, they shot the driver in his thigh and fled from the location. Officers from the Criminal Investigations Department exerted efforts and eventually managed to arrest the three suspects, who turned out to be Bedoun residents, in Ahmadi Governorate. They have been referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
