KUWAIT CITY, March 19: Ministry of Education and Higher Education declined to employ some graduates as teachers, and instead offered them administrative jobs, on the pretext that they will lose the chance for employment if the offer is rejected, reports Al-Jarida daily quoting educational sources. The same source added the graduates were not accepted as teachers because their specialty is not required.

However, sources noted the Faculties of Education, Home Economics, Basic Education, and graduates selected for Kindergarten by Civil Service Commission (CSC) were surprised of their rejection by concerned authorities. They reiterated the candidates were forced to take up administrative jobs without teaching benefits to avoid losing the chance of employment.
