Tea boy leads gang charging KD 300 for illegal abortions

KUWAIT CITY, July 4: An Asian gang led by a tea boy was arrested for operating a private abortion clinic in Hasawi area and charging clients KD 300 for the service, reports Al- Shahid daily. Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Department nailed the suspects led by a tea boy employed by an unnamed ministry for reportedly transforming an apartment in Hasawi area into an abortion clinic.

A security source said a female secret agent was assigned to verify the authenticity of information received about the activities of the gang and to schedule a date for her supposed relative to have an abortion. The police later raided the apartment and caught four women and a man. They were referred to concerned authorities.
