Syrians held for stealing gas cylinders

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 30: Three Syrian expatriates were arrested in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area for stealing gas cylinders from houses and selling them in Amghara Scrapyard. According to security sources, Farwaniya securitymen were patrolling Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area when they suspected a Japanese-made vehicle with three occupants and ordered the driver to pull over. They checked the details of the three men to discover they are Syrian nationals. They inspected the vehicle and found three gas cylinders. When securitymen asked them about the gas cylinders, they revealed that they had stolen them from houses and was planning to sell them in Amghara Scrapyard. The three suspects were arrested and referred with the gas cylinders to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action. Meanwhile, a Bangladeshi expatriate filed a case at Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Police Station, reporting that an unknown individual broke the glass window of his vehicle which was parked in a lot in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area. Officers lifted fingerprints and other evidences to identify the suspect. Investigations were launched.

Drugs abused: Two Kuwaiti citizens were arrested in Abdullah Al-Salem area for consuming drugs and possessing hashish and “Larika” and “Chemical” drugs. According to security sources, Capital securitymen were patrolling the area when they noticed two men sleeping inside a parked vehicle. Securitymen woke them up and noticed their disoriented state. They checked the vehicle and found the abovementioned drugs. The suspects were arrested and referred with the confiscated drugs to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
