Syrian child drowns off Salmiya beach; Surgery causes deformity

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 2: An 11-year old Syrian child drowned while swimming in Belajat beach in Salmiya area. According to sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information that a child drowned in Belajat beach, marine rescue officers from Kuwait Fire Service Directorate rushed to the location and retrieved the corpse of the child. It was referred to the Forensics Department. Investigations revealed that the child was swimming in the beach in the absence of his family members.

Meanwhile, a female lawyer filed a case against the clinic of a prominent female doctor in Salmiya, claiming the clinic caused injuries and deformities on her face and neck when she underwent surgery to remove facial and neck hair. The lawyer lodged a complaint at Salmiya Police Station where she also presented a medical report on the injuries and deformities she suffered because of the medical error committed by the clinic. A Filipina employee at the clinic was arrested and referred to the concerned security department for investigation.
