KUWAIT CITY, Nov 10: The Ministry of Interior decided to stop  issuing visas to the Lebanese citizens after a diplomatic spat erupted between Lebanon and Gulf countries, after statements made by the Lebanese Minister of Information George Kordani

The residency department has stopped receiving tourist, family, commercial and other visit visas applications for the Lebanese expats. The suspension of visas for the Lebanese comes in the context of Gulf security coordination between the various countries of the Cooperation Council.

However the Lebanese expats in Kuwait have the right to return to Kuwait or exit without any issues as well as can renew their residence, reports Al Rai. The ban is only on issuing new visas.
