Upon arrival of security and municipality authorities the vendors fled into the embassy leaving the goods which were laid outside for sale, the municipality confiscated the food and other items which were on sale and also checked expiry dates.

The sources said that the Philippines embassy should not entertain these street vendors and should end this uncivilized phenomenon. The embassy is located in a private housing area such activities around the embassy will not be tolerated and MOI will continue to pursue them and hope the embassy will help to get rid of them.
