‘Strawberry’ drug found on Egyptian expatriate

‘KD 20 at my place, KD 40 at yours’

KUWAIT CITY, June 17: Officers from Ahmadi Security Directorate chased an Egyptian expatriate on foot and arrested him in possession of illicit drug known as ‘Strawberry’. A security source said the officers were on a round of Fahaheel area when they came across the suspect and asked for his civil ID.

To their surprise, he tried to escape on foot but they chased and arrested him. They went ahead and conducted a search on him and found six pills of strawberry hidden inside a packet of cigarette. He told the officers that the pills belonged to a colleague working with him in a coffee shop. He was referred with the contraband to Drug Prosecution. Meanwhile, security operatives referred a Kuwaiti citizen suffering from psychological disorder to a hospital.

Trio in flesh trade: Acting on a tipoff and armed with arrest search and arrest warrant, personnel from the Criminal Investigations Department raided an apartment in Hawally, and arrested three prostitutes — a Jordanian, a Lebanese and a Syrian — and referred them to authorities, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to police investigations the apartment is owned by the Jordanian and the other two used the apartment for flesh trade and pleasure service. According to the suspects they charged each man KD 20 for fun inside the apartment and KD 40 at the place of the pleasure seeker’s choice. The arrest came after one of the women offered service to an undercover police agent.
