All are State workers, bound by law

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 11: The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Farid Asad Emadi has denied a conflict has surfaced between the Salafi- Brotherhood movements in the ministry, reports Al-Anba daily.
He stressed all are state employees and are bound by laws and not affiliations. Emadi stressed the employee can show affiliation to any group he/ she outside the office premises, but while on duty must remain committed to the state policy, programs and plan of action of the ministry.
Emadi said it is the right of an Imam to react to the issues of the nation and not agitate people and create chaos. He pointed out he has stressed on the significance of promoting moderation and countering extremism from day one in office because such issues affect the entire society.
