State Security, DCGD seek to increase secret agents abroad

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 20: The State Security Department and the Drug Control General Department (DCGD) have adopted a new plan to increase their overseas secret agents, reports Al-Shahed daily quoting informed sources.

They explained that this move is aimed to obtain preliminary information on any operations targeting Kuwait, mainly information on terrorists and the plans of overseas drug mafia.

The plan has received direct support of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and Undersecretary of Ministry of Interior Lieutenant General Sulaiman Al-Fahad. Ministry of Interior has so far succeeded in uncovering many of the schemes aimed at destabilizing the country and in thwarting a number of drug-smuggling operations
