Srilankan Maid beaten by Kuwaiti; Egyptian cook kills Kuwaiti

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 1: A Kuwaiti citizen was arrested and detained in Jabriya Police Station for battering and severely assaulting a Sri Lankan housemaid, resulting in injuries and fractures throughout her body, reports Al-Shahed daily. The victim has been referred to Mubarak Hospital and a case was registered against the Kuwaiti citizen.

Cook kills Kuwaiti: The Saudi security authorities have arrested an Egyptian cook for murdering and robbing a 22-year-old Kuwaiti while he was camping in the Dabdabah desert in Saudi Arabia, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to security sources, the victim had reached the spot alone ahead of his friends and the cook, had been hired by the Kuwaiti. The cook taking advantage of the situation, killed the youth and stole his money and vehicle. The same sources said the suspect hit the victim with a heavy metal object. The death was discovered by the nephew of the victim who informed the Saudi authorities. The suspect was arrested and during interrogation he led police to the place where he had kept the money and the vehicle.
