The Kuwaiti special Olympic delegation

A special Olympic delegation from Kuwait visited a training camp in United Arab Emirates at the Dubai Club for the Disabled and witnessed several activities and festivals with the UAE Olympic Special Team. In his statement, the Board Chairperson of Kuwait Olympic Special Team ShafiAl-Hajri said the visit is in the framework of the keen interest of Kuwait’s Sport Club for the Disabled to communicate with other such clubs in the GCC countries.

He affirmed that such tours aim at providing opportunities for the Olympic special team to associate and compete with their counterparts in a manner that will positively reflect technically, physically and mentally. Al-Hajri indicated that the team will participate in two international athletics tournament in Morocco and Tunisia and their performance there will qualify them for the international tournament in London this summer.

He revealed that they held discussions with the CEO of Dubai Club for the Disabled Majed Al-Osaimi concerning intensifying cooperation and meetings between the two countries, as well as the future of Special Olympics and sports for the disabled in the GCC countries. It is worth mentioning that the special Olympic delegation, which is holding a training camp in Dubai for two weeks, consists of 50 members including players, coaches and administrators.
