‘Social Affairs’ keen to apply all CSC decisions

Engineering offices to follow new mechanism

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 26: Ministry of Social Affairs affirmed its keenness to apply all decisions of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) and comply with them, reports Al- Seyassah daily.

Undersecretary of the ministry Abdulaziz Shuaib called on the concerned bodies to take into consideration the letter sent by CSC with instructions to disburse allowances to special categories among the employees of the Social Welfare Sector.

In a press release issued following the spread of news about the intention of a number of employees of the sector to hold a sit-in on Sunday, the ministry affirmed that it will discuss the matter with the concerned sectors and coordinate with CSC to find the best mechanism for applying the decision of granting allowances to the employees of the Social Welfare Sector.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Electricity and Water has asked the Federation of Engineering Offices to follow the new mechanism while submitting transactions to supply power to projects and buildings with “340 kV” load which actually started work the day before yesterday, reports Al-Rai daily.

Well-informed sources in the ministry spoke of the possibility of this being done in coordination with the Kuwait Municipality, so that the application for a building permit is submitted, through the Kuwait Municipality portal, with accompanying air conditioning and ready-made electricity plans, in order to reduce the procedures and the time taken to complete the transaction.
