‘Slow’ officers face sack

KUWAIT CITY, April 7: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Ahmad Al-Nawaf issued a directive on the formation of a committee that will be tasked to evaluate the performance of security officials with the rank of major general and brigadier general, in preparation for the retirement of many of these officials, reports Al-Anba daily quoting a reliable source.

The source refused to reveal the names of the members of the committee and their job description. The source explained the committee will submit a list of senior officers with poor performance to pave way for the issuance of a decision — refer them to the minister’s office or for retirement.
