Sheikh Salem Al-Ali on bail

KUWAIT CITY, May 7: The Public Prosecution has released Sheikh Fahd Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah on bail after he was arrested by the State Security police for posting a tweet, which the Ministry of Interior deemed offensive for three days in a State Security case due to a tweet that the Ministry of Interior considered criminal, despite the accused deleting it from his Twitter account, reports Al-Qabas daily.

A security source said the Public Prosecution is still investigating the case and is expected to refer the accused to the Criminal Court. The source pointed out deleting the tweet does not absolve the suspect from punishment.
