‘Roshan Pakistan’ hosts Independence Day

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 17: PAKISTAN marks its independence day on the 14th of August each year. This was the day, in 1947, when Muslims of the subcontinent got independence on the basis of two-nation theory under the umbrella of founder of the nation Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the well-known philosopher Allama Iqbal. Muslims sacrificed their families and lives for today’s Pakistan.

Pakistani ambassador with officials

Pakistanis celebrated their Independence Day everywhere in the world. In Kuwait ‘Roshan Pakistan’ team organized a mesmerizing event “75th independence day” under the umbrella of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Kuwait in Zumerida Hall, Kuwait. Roshan Pakistan is a cluster of Pakistani organizations in Kuwait which have been arranging cultural and traditional programs on the national days of Pakistan.

Hafiz Mohammad Shabbir, who is a prominent businessman is the President while Mr. Muhammad Jameel the Chairman, Mr. Shamshad Khan Tanoli, the vice chairman and Dr. Adnan, the vice president of this organization. In the history of Kuwait it was the biggest Jashan-e-Azadi (Independence Day) event of Pakistan. The 1,200 capacity hall was completely full before the program started. A large number of Kuwaiti dignitaries also attended this program, and remained till the end of the program which shows their love and affection with the brotherly country Pakistan. The program was conducted by Faiza Siddiqui and Nadia Zeeshan.

Cake-cutting ceremony

It was the first time Faiza Siddiqui was conducting any program of this level but she proved that she was the best choice. Digital Effects, Projector, Live Projection and Drone Camera were used. The event was very well organized with the help of volunteer team headed by Jalal-uddin. Celebrations began with the distribution of shields to the sponsors. The event started with the arrival of Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan H.E Malik Muhammad Farooq, Deputy Chief of Mission Mr. Faisal Majeed, Community Welfare Attaché Mr. Farrukh Amir Sial, Third Secretary, Mrs. Tehreem Ilyas from the Pakistan Embassy. The hosts presented a welcome speech to officials along with bouquet presentation by Team Roshan, Pakistan and executive members. Dr. Hafiz Rehmatullah recited verses from the Holy Quran and Miss Sidra Aslam presented Naat.

A cake-cutting ceremony took place with the Embassy officials, Team Roshan Pakistan along with the participation of the audience. The national anthem of Kuwait and Pakistan were played on the screen reminding both nationals their dignity and pride. Most of the audience was with the dress code of green and white, following the color combination of national Pakistani flag to show their deep love for the country. Audience was waving the Kuwaiti and Pakistani flag to show their love for both countries and also to show unity between these two nations. After national anthem, Chairman of Roshan Pakistan Team Muhammad Jameel delivered a speech on National Day’s importance.

The children under the leadership of Miss Zunaira performed on the stage with huge appreciation from the audience. Then two Punjabi singers Abbey Rajput and Ali Waqar performed on the stage with their specific style, everyone enjoyed a lot. A national song with the performance of girls was presented. The speech was delivered by Shamshad Khan Tanoli, the Vice chairman (Roshan Pakistan team) on Pakistan and its progress.

Meanwhile, draws of gifts from sponsors were announced. Faiza Siddiqui revealed some world records by the Pakistani nationals like Jahangir Khan, M M Alam. The Organizer and President Roshan Pakistan Hafiz Mohammad Shabbir started his address by the famous verse of Allama Iqbal: “Ki Muhammad se wafa tu ne to hum tere hain”. He also thanked H.E. the Ambassador and the officers of the Embassy of Islamic Republic of Pakistan. He said Pakistanis are a powerful nation. He also thanked the team members. He said he was proud of Kuwaiti dignitaries who were present in the program from beginning till end. He also praised Faiza Siddiqui and Nadia Zeeshan on the marvelous conducting of the program. He also paid tribute to the armed forces, who are sacrificing their lives for their beloved country. He also loudly raised the slogan “Pakistan Zindabad.”
