Return ticket to Failaka hiked to KD 5: KPTC

KUWAIT CITY, March 8: Acting Executive Director of Kuwait Public Transportation Company (KPTC) Qusai Al-Zanki revealed that the price of return ticket to Failaka for adults has been increased from KD 3 to KD 5 per head and for children below two years of age has been reduced to KD 2, reports Al-Rai daily.

He indicated that discussions are ongoing to exempt collecting charges from people with special needs. Al-Zanki said the return ticket for transportation of machines to Failaka will cost KD 15 including the value of the driver’s ticket.

He affirmed that the company will take all necessary procedures to ensure the safety of passengers and machines during the journey to and from Kuwait and Failaka Island, indicating that no incidents in this regard were reported since the establishment of the company in mid-1980s. Al-Zanki commended the fruitful cooperation between KPTCH and the concerned governmental authorities in this regard such as Kuwait Fire Service Directorate and Ministry of Interior
