Rain compensation demands rise to 761 – ‘Priority for Kuwaitis’

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 1, (KUNA): Minister of Social Affair and Labour, Minister of State for Economic Affairs Hind Al-Sabeeh announced on Saturday that the rains’ compensations demands reached 761 cases, including real estate, vehicles and furniture losses claims. She added in press remarks that process of receiving the people affected by the heavy rains is well organized at the compensations’ committee headquarters in Al- Shamiya area.
The committee offers priority to Kuwaitis, and to those having damaged houses and vehicles, Minister Al-Sabeeh added. She denied offering any financial compensations to the affected people yet, indicating that this stage is only for receiving inquires and checking that they are meeting all requirements and in accordance with the legal procedures followed.
The government is offering the rains’ compensations matter an extra care, making sure to offer them the suitable payments that cope with the damage they suffered. This committee will not ensure justice toward the compensation demands, assuring those who incurred losses due to the recent delgue that they would receive the appropriate recompense
