Radical group said to penetrate university; students being misled – Open probe, minister urged

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 2: Hezbollah of Lebanon is said to have penetrated the Kuwait University through one of the faculties and is reportedly training students on information technology and methods of storing data, reports Al-Shahed daily.

The daily added, this is done by a specialized civil company that boasts of experts in this fi eld. Reliable sources say this company is funded by Hezbollah and through this company students are being brainwashed because these courses are related to radical information.

The sources say a request has been forwarded to the Minister of Education and Higher Education Mohammad Al-Faris to open an investigation into the issue, especially since the entry of such political currents shall help change the concepts of students.

The same sources added a senior offi cial of the company has sent a report to his superiors informing about the success of the mission. The company is said to have requested the parent body to increase the budget because now the company plans to tap private universities and the Public Authority for Applied Education due to the large numbers of students since it is easy to convince departments to hold courses for students.

The sources also explained the strategy of the company includes travel, housing and accommodation and free tickets to Lebanon in the future and arranging visits to the Hezbollah headquarters
