KUWAIT CITY, May 10: Treasurer of the Qortuba Cooperative Society Mohammad Al- Nabhan announced that the society has attained 8.326 million dinars in sales, an increase of KD 954,000 compared to the previous year at a rate of 12.9 percent, indicating a very strong financial position and distinct profits.

Al-Nabhan disclosed that sales are on the rise despite the coronavirus crisis and closure of the branches of bookshop, electronics, popular clothing and children’s toys, stressing the numbers are supposed to be more than this, had it not been for the current circumstances.

He affirmed that the society, since the beginning of the crisis, has been eager to take all preventive measures and make use of Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Events Hall and the theater of Ain Jalout Primary School for strategic stocks to ensure the availability of basic commodities and food items, and not to lack basic consumer needs.

Al-Nabhan reiterated that QortubaCooperative Society keenly implements health requirements and delivers orders during the ban period, noting “there is no negligence in the process of examining shoppers and providing everything they’ll need for safe shopping”.
