Qita’a Al-Kharaem wins His Highness the Crown Prince Cup

Horse Qita’a Al-Kharaem owned by Sarhan Al-Otaibi surprised a huge crowd of fans after crossing the finish line of the 1,400 meters race in about 1 minute 23.5 seconds, with a huge gap between it and the rest of the racing horses, to win His Highness the Crown Prince Cup for the 1,400 meters. According to a press release, the horse race was held at the Kuwait Riding Center under the patronage of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, who was represented by Sheikh Dhari Al-Fahad. A huge number of fans including Sheikh Abdallah Al-Ibrahim Al-Duaij were present to watch the horse race.

In second place was horse Tajammal owned by Salem Al-Ajmi, followed by Nomas Saleh owned by Al-Osaimi in third place and Anjaz from Mubarak Al-Otaibi’s stable in fourth. Sheikh Dhari presented the championship trophy to the winning team. He expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the sponsorship of Sheikh Ibrahim Al-Duaij, and extolled the efforts rendered by the organizing committee and the media in ensuring the success of the event. In a different race, the horse Mughnim owned by Nayef Al-Rashidi won the Sheikh Ibrahim Al-Duaij Cup for 1,800 meters by winning the race in 1 minute 49.40 seconds. In second and third places were Sha’laan from Nashama’s stable and Ghala Nayef owned by sons of Nayed Al-Dabous respectively.

Meanwhile, the horse Salman owned by Adel Al-Rashidi won the Arab Horse Center Cup for 1,600 meters by crossing the finish line in 2 minutes 6 seconds, followed closely by Dhafer Al-Rowaished owned by Ibrahim Al-Mutairi in second place and Safir Al-Nami owned by Jassem Al-lame’s stable in third place even though the latter was in the lead throughout the entire race. Other races included the second round of 1,600 meters race, which was won by Al-Doun horse from Al- Osaimi’s stable and the 2,200 meters race won by Salam Ya Hamoud owned by Bandar Al-Saihan. In the 2,400 meters race, Al-Aaz from Nashama’s stable won first place, followed by Al-Mufawidh also from Nashama’s stable while Kayan from Za’abi’s stable came in third place.
