Qabazard crowned champs of Jabriya Martyrs Futsal tourney

Martyr Ahmad Qabazard team were crowned winners of the 21st Jabriya Martyrs Futsal Tournament following their victory over the Martyr Ahmad Kumbar team by 3-1 in an exciting final match of the tournament, which was organized by Jabriya Cooperative Society at Mohammed Ismail Al-Ghanim School Hall.

Board Chairman of Jabriya Cooperative Society Hussain Mahmoud Dashti crowned the champions in the presence of the board members of the cooperative society. He gave the awards for the best player and honored the referees of the tournament Abdulaziz Al-Sarraf, Abdulaziz Aman, Abdullah Murad and Mahoud Al-Baloushi. He also honored the chairman of the organizing committee Sadiq Safar and general coordinator Mohammed Essa and rest of the organizing committees for earning the praise of everyone for the beautiful way the tournament was organized.

Before the final match began, a friendly match was held between the old players of Jabriya area who were separated into two teams — Green and Yellow. The spectators were delighted by the match especially since the teams consisted of former international players and board members of Jabriya Cooperative Society. The match had ended in a draw of 1-1.

The final match was exciting, as both teams were eager to showcase their talents. Ali Dashti, Ahmad Haidar, Ali Al-Shiraz and the Egyptian player Islam Mohammed showed class in the ranks of Martyr Ahmad Qabazard team, while Martyr Ahmad Kumbar team had the likes of Abdullah Al-Majadi, Mohammed Jafar and Nasser Al-Sarraf entertaining the huge crowd.

Martyr Ahmad Qabazard team’s first goal was scored by Islam Mohammed in the first half. The team had a very good goalkeeper who managed a number of superb saves, as the Martyr Ahmad Kumbar team were in a very dangerous attack more.

Martyr Ahmad Kumbar team’s performance waned in the second half, which was capitalized by the Martyr Ahmad Qabazard team. Islam Mohammed scored his second goal to consolidate their victory but the Martyr Ahmad Kumbar team responded with one goal score by Daher to bring the score to 2-1. However, Martyr Ahmad Qabazard team were determined to win and they kept on pushing until they scored one more goal through Ghareeb to achieve a score of 3-1 and be crowned the champions of the 21st Jabriya Martyrs Futsal Tournament.
