Public Prosecution orders detention of 18 citizens, bedoun

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 3: The Public Prosecution had decided to detain 14 citizens and bedoun to complete investigations with them on the charge of participating in “unlicensed” gatherings, reports Al-Qabas daily. It also decided to continue detaining 4 others who have been detained since the day before yesterday.

An informed source told Al-Qabas that the Public Prosecution is awaiting the appearance of 3 of those included in the warrant list who will be arrested unless they turn themselves in. The source added that the Ministry of Interior had asked the defendants to break up the gathering, but they continued to gather, which prompted it to refer them to the Public Prosecution on charges of violating the law.
