Police recruit held for robbing people

KUWAIT CITY, April 22: Securitymen have arrested a Kuwaiti policeman, who is believed to be in his 20s, for robbing passers in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, escaping from law by running over a policeman and damaging public property, reports Al-Rai daily.

A security source said police received several distress calls from people saying an unidentified person wearing a mask was robbing pedestrians at knifepoint.

When police reached the spot the suspect escaped in his pickup truck after running over a policeman, colliding with a police vehicle with full force and overturning it.

However, police investigations led to the owner of the pickup truck and the latter provided police information about the suspect
