Police probe death of Indian on visit to Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, May 11: Police are investigating the death of a 25-year old Indian electrician, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added, the Indian fell from a high place while on duty. A security source said the death was reported to the Adailiya Police Station by two Kuwaitis.

The victim was lying on the ground between a café and the cooperative society. The daily said the victim was rushed to the nearby hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival. The Indian reportedly came to the country on visit visa which was valid for only May 8-9, 2016.

Man attempts suicide: An unidentified individual attempted to end his life by jumping from the roof of a building in Khaitan area. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about a man attempting to commit suicide, securitymen, firefighters and paramedics rushed to the location. Major Meshari Al-Toura convinced the man against committing suicide and the latter eventually surrendered to the securitymen. Investigations revealed that the man suffers from psychological and financial problems. Necessary action was taken against him. Meanwhile, the corpse of a Bangladeshi expatriate was discovered inside a flat in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area. It was referred to the Forensics Department where examination revealed that the victim died of natural causes.
