PBAK organizes one-day singles bowling tournament

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 25: The Philippine Bowling Association in Kuwait (PBAK) Tournament Technical Committee decided to have One- Day Tournament Singles Event of its members-bowlers in preparation to the upcoming 2023 New Season Team Tournament and to familiarize to the new oiling pattern that will be used for the event. The tournament was held on Dec 16 in Kuwait Bowling Sporting Club (KBSC) at Salmiyah the biggest bowling center with 48 lanes.

The Singles event was played by the bowlers in one group mixed classes and all genders. Individual averages of the particulars was considered plus handicapping. Forty players participated and four high pointers were declared champion and runners up. Five games series was played and handicapping was applied per game after the earned points. After the first 2 games, the top 7 were Amreen (440), Colin (429), Danilo (427), Mandani (424), Kendric (407), Brian (400) and Hadeel (398). In the third and fourth games Danilo (874) snatched the first place with his 191 and 202 points and from nowhere Joel Tizon (831) jumped to second place with his commanding scores of 197 and 190. Brian (826) from fifth place climbed to third place. A big lift was also noted to Hadeel (824) who rose from seventh to fourth place. The topnotch Amreen (799) succumbed from first to sixth place while Colin (809) dropped from second to fifth place.

After the final game, Brian scores the high game of 210, Colin 194, Hadeel scored her high game of 193. Amreen 158, Danilo 156 and Joel 145. With below par performance of Joel and Amreen, they were eliminated from the final four and the winners were Hadeel (1066), Danilo (1057), Brian (1051) and Colin (1024). After lengthy 5-games series, the PBAK Technical Committee tabulated the final results and President Rudy de Lima with Tournament Director Joel Tizon awarded the prizes (cash amount and medals) to the winners.
