KUWAIT CITY, Oct 24: According to an Australian security and intellectual report, Kuwaiti passport is one among the documents targeted for forgery by international gangs whose clients pay huge sums in order to obtain fake Kuwaiti passports to enter Australia, reports Al-Rai daily.
The report, which is titled “Threats noted on our borders”, was prepared by the ABF Unit of Ministry of Immigration and Border Protection of Australia. As per the report, Australian immigration authorities arrested 14 passengers in possession of fake passports in 2017 including suspected terrorists, fugitives and illegal immigrants.
These individuals paid large amounts to buy the fake passports from professional gangs. The gangs succeed in forging the passports so accurately that it is hard to distinguish the real passports from the forged ones. The report included pictures of some fake passports including Kuwaiti, Dutch and Canadian passports. Among the fake passports confiscated from the 14 arrested individuals, at least two were Kuwaiti.
