One dead, 5 hurt in accident

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 14: A Kuwaiti citizen died and five individuals sustained injuries when three vehicles collided on Fourth Ring Road near Al-Qasr area in Jahra, reports Al-Seyassah daily. The Public Relations Department of Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) explained that firefighters, after receiving information about the accident, rushed to the location with paramedics and securitymen.

They pulled out the motorists from the three vehicles to discover that a citizen had succumbed to serious injuries while the other five victims were barely alive. The injured victims were referred to the nearest hospital by paramedics, while the corpse of the deceased was referred to the Forensics Department. Necessary action was taken in this regard. Meanwhile, two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision on the Seventh Ring Road, reports Al-Anba daily.

The injury happened when their vehicle was involved in a collision with a trailer truck transporting garbage bins. The daily added, police and paramedics rushed to the spot and gave first aid to one of the occupants of the car who was sitting outside on the side of the road after the accident. The other was trapped inside the car and firemen cut through the metal to rescue him.
