Occupants safe, fire wrecks car

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 14: The Public Relations and Media Department of the Directorate-General of Fire Department (DGFD) stated that according to a report received by the Central Operations Department Friday evening a vehicle which went up in flames on Salmi road has been reduced to a skeleton, reports Al-Rai daily. The department stated that when the report was received firemen the Jahra Fire Station was dispatched to the site and discovered the vehicle was caught in flames and the occupants of the vehicle including the driver had abandoned the vehicle and were standing on the side of the road.

Meanwhile, the Public Relations and Media Department of the Directorate- General of Fire Department (DGFD) announced the closure of five establishments for violating safety and fire prevention requirements in the Shuwaikh Industrial and Abu Fatira areas, reports Al-Rai daily.
