No rise in tuition fees at all private schools

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 19: Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr Hamid Al-Azmi issued a decision to stop tuition fee increase in all private schools — American, English, bilingual, French, Arabic, model, Indian, Pakistani, Philippines and Iranian; hence, the fees for academic year 2018/2019 should be the same as the previous year, reports Al-Anba daily.

Al-Azmi urged all private schools to abide by the directive; otherwise, a warning will be issued to them and they will be required to correct the violation within 30 days.

If the erring schools do not respond within the specified period, their transactions in all State institutions will be suspended for one month. If the violation continues after this, the license of the concerned school will be cancelled by the end of the academic year, the minister added
