KUWAIT CITY, Feb 28: There are no Kuwaitis among the more than 1,000 Islamic State terrorists seized by the international coalition forces in Syria recently, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting sources close to the issue.

However, the sources added the security authorities in Kuwait are still looking for citizens who have left the country and have yet to return. Their whereabouts remain a mystery.

The sources quoting the Kuwaiti security authorities said it is difficult to determine if these men have left the country to join the terrorist groups or have left the country permanently for other reasons. In the meantime, the sources said after checking the identity of the arrested men, the coalition forces have handed over 200 of them to Iraq and the rest will be handed over, in due course of time, to the respective countries they belong to. The sources told the daily the process of fighting IS or DAESH continues.
