KUWAIT CITY, Oct 3: “These are my uncle’s children” – was how an Egyptian driver justified to a citizen who “guards a state property jealously” when the citizen caught him transporting people who had nothing to do with Ministry of Education in a ministry bus after he finished transporting students to their destinations, reports Al-Rai daily.
When the citizen saw a bus belonging to the ministry with unfamiliar passengers onboard, he was surprised, as the bus was reserved only for students and employees of the ministry. He took a video before stopping the driver and threatened to report the incident.
However, the driver tried to justify his action by saying, “These are my uncle’s children”. In order to enforce the law and hold the driver accountable, the citizen published the video he had taken on social media so that it will reach officials from Ministry of Education and necessary action will be taken against those who illegally exploit state property.
