KUWAIT CITY, Dec 30: The Civil Service Commission (CSC) affirmed that some employees of the Funeral Affairs Department in Kuwait Municipality are entitled to a risk and infection allowance, or an infection and contamination allowance, or only an infection allowance, reports Al-Qabas daily.

In a letter she addressed to the municipality, Director of the Department of Work Arrangement and Budget in CSC Aisha Al-Mutawa said CSC believes the entitlement of some of the employees of the Funeral Affairs Department, to a risk and infection allowance, or infection and contamination allowance, or infection allowance only in the category of KD 35 per month and for each allowance, according to his job title and work position. She identified workers in the Department of Funeral Affairs who are entitled to allowances.

They are grave diggers, who deserve the infection and risk allowance, washers of the dead who deserve the contamination and infection allowance, and the drivers of carriages for the dead who deserve the infection allowance only. The rest of the workers in the same department, the secretarial division, services, maintenance, records and deaths departments, applications, and follow-up are not exposed to contamination and infection
