Game draws large number of spectators

KUWAIT CITY, May 19, (KUNA): Under the auspices of, and in the presence of, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, a futsal game between the government and the National Assembly was held on Saturday in Al Da’iya.

The game is part of the Roudhan championship held on the holy month of RamadanThe MPs team has hammered the government team 3-2 in 40th Roudhan futsal tournament being held at Martyr Fahad Al-Ahmad indoor court under auspices of His Highness the Amir on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.

The impressive game drew large number of spectators, including many cabinet members and senior officials as well as public figures, with National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim leading the MPs team.

It was held in presence of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah – the sponsor of the game, Deputy Prime and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah, Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Mohammad Al-Jabri, Minister Justice and Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs Dr. Fahad Al-Afasi, Minister of Social Affairs Saad Al-Kharraz, and Advisor to His Highness the Crown Princes Diwan Nasser Al-Roudhan.

The MPs team included Riyadh Al-Adsani, Bader Al-Mulla, Faisal Al-Kandari, Rakan Al-Nisf, Mohammad Al-Dallal, former MP Ali Al-Khamis and Secretary-General of the National Assembly Allam Al-Kandari.

The government team was made up of Secretary-General of the Cabinet Abdullatif Al-Roudhan, Minister of Commerce and Industry and Minister of State for Service Affairs Khaled Al-Roudhan, Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education Dr Hamad Al-Azemi, former minister of state for housing affairs Yasser Abel, former minister of electricity and water Abdulaziz Al-Ibrahim, former minister of education and higher education Dr Mohammad Al-Fares and Assistant Secretary-General of the Cabinet Fawaz Al-Fadhl.
