MP queries on suspicious activities of Awqaf

KUWAIT CITY, July 17: MP Safaa Al- Hashem has submitted queries to the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs on what she described as suspicious activities during the pilgrimage season.

Based on the information she obtained, she requested for a comprehensive report on pilgrimage-related procedures taken this year – covering everything from permits to the accommodations of pilgrims.

She wants to know the terms and conditions in issuing permits and viability of contracts sent to Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Omra which were used as bases for the issuance of permits, demanding for the truth behind the alleged questionable and bogus contracts sent to the Saudi ministry.
