KUWAIT CITY, Jan 7: MP Ali Al- Daqbasi has forwarded questions to HH Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al- Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah about the sources of national income. According to Al-Daqbasi, the State’s general policies and governmental plan include provisions on the diversification of national income sources and ways to address the budget deficit.

He claimed the government took measures and decisions which affected the citizens’ income at a time many other countries laid down plans to diversify their sources of revenues in order to improve the income of their people.

Since the steps taken by the government reflect its inability to find effective and lasting solutions for the country to diversify sources of revenues and to prevent budget deficit, Al-Daqbasi asked HH the Prime Minister to provide him with a copy of the general action plan of the government.

He also wants to know the timetable for executing this plan and the role of each ministry in diversifying sources of national income.

In the meantime, MP Waleed Al- Tabtabaei presented a proposal for mobile phone companies to relocate their communication towers from residential structures to the roofs of government buildings, police stations, cooperative societies and municipal buildings. He said these towers should be installed on surfaces that are at least 20 meters high, but he was quick to add though that these towers must not be installed in schools because they could be dangerous to students especially the young children.
