Mother’s boyfriend arrested for ‘torturing’ her 3 children

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 15: An unidentified mother’s ‘friend’ who beat and tortured his girlfriend’s sons because of differences between them has been arrested and referred for interrogation, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added, the children have been referred to a hospital to treat them of burn injuries.

Meanwhile, a security source told the daily the community police received a report from a hospital in Al-Ahmadi Governorate about the arrival of three children, between the ages of three and five, by their mother in a serious condition, as they were burned and beaten. The source added, “During investigation with the mother about the cause of the injuries sustained by her children, she reported that a friend who lives with her in one of the areas of Al-Ahmadi used to assault them daily due to frequent disputes between them, and a case was registered and referred to the General Department of Investigations (Special Misdemeanors), which instructed the detectives to search and arrest the suspect.”

After collecting information, they were sure of the validity of information and the accused was arrested and detained and charged with torture, while the mother was detained on charges of negligence for allowing her friend to beat her children. “By examining the three children,” the source said, “it was found that they had suffered burns, bruises, and separate wounds, as a result of the beating. They are being treated under strict police guard, and forensic evidence is assigned to examine the injuries.”
