KUWAIT CITY, Nov 29: The Ministry of Interior is prepared to receive residence violators who wish to amend their status by paying fines. According to the new deadline which was granted starting from tomorrow until the end of Dec the violators will have to pay a fine and obtain new residence . The provision has been made to receive 2400 violators daily (ie 400 visitors in six governorates).

A special website has been launched to issue barcodes for those who wish to seek prior appointments. This step has been taken in order to reduce congestion and to take health precautions, report Al Rai. The administrators have been interlinked through a system so that they can be transferred to another department.

The sources expected that around 40,000 violators will seek to amend their status out of 130,000 estimated illegal residents.
