KUWAIT CITY: The Ministry of Interior has placed its forces on what it called a ‘state of alert’ following reports that an armed ‘group of terrorists’ have escaped from Iraq, reports Al-Anba daily.

According to available information, the daily said, the Iraqi security authorities have informed both Kuwait and Saudi Arabia that an armed group of the Islamic State or DAESH fighters have escaped Iraq headed for an unknown destination.

However, a knowledgeable security source pointed out the group escaped Iraq after the Iraqi forces tightened the noose around the neck of DAESH fighters.
