BECAUSE he rules from the perspective of the citizen and not from the ivory towers of his palace, the King of Morocco Mohammad VI, in every speech of his, makes you realize how close the ambitions are to reality, provided they have the will and determination, and how one can overcome all difficulties, no matter how old.

Due to this reason, his recent speech during the opening of the new parliamentary session attracted great attention from Moroccans, Arabs and Europeans. This is because he outlined in that speech the parameters of the next stage and laid the foundations for a new approach beyond the stage of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has cast its dark shadows on the whole world.

And because the revival is based only on clear legislative formulas, it was necessary to urge the Parliament to take into account the visions required by the citizen in order to increase the popular participation in the productive sectors, and increase the opportunities for foreign investors to pump money into the arteries of industrial, agricultural and other sectors.

Therefore, the new economic plan announced by the Moroccan monarch includes the foundations on which social progress is based, with the support of the state through the “Mohammad VI Investment Fund”, with the aim of raising the capabilities of the national economy, supporting the productive sectors, and financing and keeping pace with major projects.

Partnerships between the public and private sectors will increase, especially small and medium enterprises, while ensuring the conditions for their success based on the coherence of rights and duties.

Everyone who heard his speech felt that Mohammad VI was one of the inhabitants of Al-Hoceima, the Atlas Mountains, the Beni Mellal Village or one of the suburbs of Marrakesh. He feels the joys and sorrows of his people closely, and follows them up on his own. He realizes that collective action is the basis for success, and that the feeling of being socially protected pushes individuals to work more.

Because food security and self-sufficiency are the basis for any country’s strength, his directives to pay attention to this sector, as well as the project to cultivate one million hectares, represented the key lever in the strategy of the “Green Morocco Plan” that he launched 12 years ago.

There is no doubt that the directives contained in his speech are intended to enhance the national product and reduce unemployment caused by the pandemic, as well as improve the conditions of citizens’ lives through the generalization of compulsory health coverage for 22 million beneficiaries, and the generalization of family compensation to include about seven million school-age children. It also includes expansion of participation in the retirement system for about five million people, and compensation for the unemployed.

May God bless King Mohammad VI, who is working on preparing the way to the future with an economic, political and social vision that simulates the present and establishes vital structures for future generations. This is how successful countries thrive under the leadership of those who plant hope and ignite ambition among their people, which ultimately leads to their happiness.

Therefore, those who deal with Morocco officially and publicly feel that this Kingdom is on the path of glory to where the compass is directed at the progress and prosperity for other developing countries.
