MoE terminates 220 expatriate support staff

KUWAIT CITY, May 14: Ministry of Education has terminated more than 220 expatriate support staff in line with the replacement policy, indicating the decision takes effect by the end of the school year, reports Al- Anba daily. On the other hand, the ministry confirmed the one-year extension of the contract of security guards assigned in schools under Jahra Educational District from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020 at a total cost of KD765,000. This came after Assistant Undersecretary for Financial Affairs in the ministry Yousif Al-Najaar requested the Central Agency for Public Tenders to extend the contract due to urgent need. He affirmed the ministry’s budget covers such expense.
