Ministry to pay complainants bonus – KD 300,000 set aside

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 29: Ministry of Education has set aside KD300,000 remaining from the sum allocated for the payment of annual excellent duty bonus to settle employees who submitted complaints over the bonus and those who have yet to receive their bonus – including undersecretaries, reports Al-Rai daily.

The daily quoting a reliable source noted the ministry will add the money to the current fiscal year’s budget, if necessary.

However, he could not specify the period in which the complainants may receive their share of the bonus, indicating each case will be treated separately within sixty days after receiving the complaints. He also said outcome of the investigation will determine the constitutionality of each case in order to determine whether or not they deserve. He emphasized that not all the complainants deserve payment, indicating the Legal Department will decide.
