KUWAIT CITY, Feb 10: Mubarak Al-Kabeer Educational Area Sunday unfurled the world’s longest flag with a Kuwaiti flag measuring 2,019 meters as recorded in the Guinness Book of Record and hoisted by 4,000 students with teachers to mark the National Days festivities. The event was held under the auspices and physical presence of the Minister of Education Hamid Al-Azmi.
Other dignitaries in attendance included the Undersecretary of Education Dr Saud Al-Harbi and Director of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Educational Area Mansour Al-Daihani.
The minister stated that Kuwait has reaffirmed its strong will and determination in the making of the longest flag in the world to break the world record. He observed a festival of this nature inculcates the values of patriotism and loyalty in the nation. He commended the concerned ministries and government agencies that supported the governorate in raising the name of Kuwait in the international community.
